Our Story

Owned and operated by Galen and Carrie Betz, Cranberry Connections is a realization of a childhood dream.  Hailed as the area’s largest cranberry glass and all things cranberry store, Cranberry Connections continues to grow from its birth in August 2004, both in its sales base and thru customer feedback its product line.  Here the employees strive to create a pleasant and relaxing shopping experience for all that enter their doors. 

Cranberry Connections was just a dream for Carrie as she grew up on her family’s cranberry marsh in rural Warrens, Wisconsin.  Aspiring to one day share her love of cranberries and their significance, Carrie graduated from college from the University Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a business degree and an idea, cranberries and Hallmark.  To further this idea, Carrie moved to Kansas City, Missouri and worked for Hallmark Cards World Head quarters.  As things turned out, her employers felt that the demand for a Hallmark Card store in the Wisconsin Dells area was not sufficient.  So Carrie, unfailing in her belief of a cranberry store made the decision to move back to Wisconsin and create her dream, and Cranberry Connections was born with the help of her family and friends.

While living in Missouri Carrie was introduced by mutual friends to her now husband Galen.  Married in 2005, the couple reside in the Wisconsin Dells area.  Galen currently works for the leading manufacturer of ground source geothermal heating and cooling systems, Waterfurnace, as a Territory Manager encompassing the entire state of Wisconsin.
